Our dear friend and Sundry ambassador Paola Lopez recently surprised us with some amazing photos of her taken by surf photographer Nik West. Sayulita-based West is known for unique, vibrant portraits of surf culture and beach life. As fans of his work, we were thrilled to see these photos of Paola taking up waves in her Sundry favorites. We hope you enjoy just as much!
Born and raised in Venice, Ceara McAuliffe is part of the beautiful community here. She recounts some stories of the neighborhood before it was known as cool as it is now. It's funny to hear about places that are no longer here, and some things that are still the same. Ceara is an actress, model and works part time at Gjelina, one of our favorite restaurants.
We spent a couple of hours with her, and she showed us around her colorful, eclectic town on the Sundry x Linus bike. Good times with great people.
We got to talking about vacations, childhood, family, aspirations and other topics, as we like to do.
If you lived in sunny Sayulita, Mexico, you would already know her. Paola Lopez has an infectious and bright personality. She surfs religiously and owns a boutique full of art, fashion and homewares. Paola is a loved personality of her town and has been a friend of Sundry since the beginning. It only makes sense that we would ask her to be one of our brand ambassadors!
We spent a little time recently with her, wanting to know more of her background and what makes her smile so often. But first, about vacations from a woman who lives in a town most of us would love to escape to…
Eva is a super talented graphic designer and artist who writes and paints beautifully in different mediums. Her whimsical sayings, watercolor art, and painted/collaged pieces take you somewhere else (mainly near the ocean, it seems to us!). She lives in Seal Beach, in Southern California. Eva works from her design studio Eva Black Design, and is also a new mom, which we can only admire.
We asked her a few questions about herself:
We have often been asked for kids tees and sweats, but we wondered if Sundry would be cool enough for kids… and then we thought a little harder – of course it is!
So Matt (our Creative Director and founder) chose the best of our fabrics and sweetest prints to create Sundry Petit, a collection for the little ones we love.
