It wouldn’t be hard to guess that we’re head over heels for German-born model Isabel Beretz. The LA-transplant has been featured in three Sundry campaigns, and is now the face of the Spring 2017 collection. A true Sundry girl, Isabel is usually traveling the globe, and shines brightly everywhere she goes. We caught up with our lovely friend to learn more about where she comes from, her best travel tips, and her affinity for German bread.
This holiday season, we’ve partnered with Lou & Grey to create the brightest, coziest shop-in-shop in town. If you’re not familiar with Ann Taylor’s sister brand, it’s time to get acquainted. With style and comfort at the forefront of each piece, Lou & Grey is the epitome of easy sophistication. That’s why we were so pleased when they asked us to merchandise a portion of their New York flagship store with this season’s most sought-after Sundry essentials.
We also worked with their team to design and produce a capsule collection of must-buy exclusive styles, available only at Lou & Grey. The shop-in-shop will close at the end of January, so don’t miss out!
If you’re in the area, be sure to pop by their NYC store:
138 5th Ave, New York, NY 10011
Or, you can shop Lou & Grey online here.
If you’re in LA this weekend, we’d love to see you! Come join us at our Culver City pop-up store on Saturday for Underpass, a monthly celebration of music, art, and fashion at Platform LA. Sundry will be open and serving refreshments from 6pm – 10pm (oh, and the entire store will be 30% off). RSVP here to attend.
Our dear friend and Sundry ambassador Paola Lopez recently surprised us with some amazing photos of her taken by surf photographer Nik West. Sayulita-based West is known for unique, vibrant portraits of surf culture and beach life. As fans of his work, we were thrilled to see these photos of Paola taking up waves in her Sundry favorites. We hope you enjoy just as much!
The mock-up used to create Kevin Butler's final illustration.
A classic car lover and avid art collector, Matt Leblan (the creative mind behind Sundry) commissioned two of his favorite LA-based artists to create some auto-oriented artwork for his collection. We found the final pieces so delightful, we thought you might enjoy them too.
Young, old, big, small – all are welcomed at Mama’s!
When we were asked to create custom tees for Mama Shelter, we could hardly contain our excitement. The funky-cool Hollywood hotel perfectly captures the energy of our favorite city, and we couldn’t wait to add a little Sundry to the mix. In designing the tees, we wanted to represent all the things that make Mama Shelter unique, and we're thrilled with the end result. Read on to see more Sundry for Mama Shelter.
When we first saw Jeanie Choi’s work, we felt it was kismet. Her use of natural light and clean composition spoke to the Sundry in us. When we asked the LA-based photographer to spend some time shooting our Fall collection, she delivered casual cool perfection.
Naturally, we were curious to learn more about the young talent. So, Jeanie took some time out of her day to tell us about her plans for the future, her devotion to shooting on film, and her future dog named Bagel:
We’re always interested in the people behind the scenes, and Loren Denis’ story is particularly fascinating. With a successful modeling career under her belt, the French writer/ director has spent some time on both sides of the lens. After years of posing as the subject, Loren decided to get behind the camera instead. And we’re so glad she did – she’s since shot two of our Lookbooks as well as this short film, which brilliantly captures the essence of Sundry. It’s clear that Loren truly has a knack for conveying emotion and movement on camera. While visiting LA, she took a quick break to tell us more about her past experience and her hopes for the future:
When we discovered Matt Brooks’ Instagram, we didn’t think twice before tapping ‘follow.’ A Graphic Designer by trade, Matt takes pictures that are uniquely refreshing and bright, with an emphasis on bold colors and clean lines. His photos cheerfully convey the spirit of L.A. (you’d never guess that Matt grew up in Portland), and remind us why we love this city so much. We sat down with the social media pro to pick his brain and hopefully pick up some of his tricks:
There is an art to being a great photographer. It's about a viewpoint, an opinion. Many people can shoot a photo, but to have a camera, and shoot a photo with an individual style, to give the captured moment a particular look, a recognizable trait, that is an art.
Sundry has a friend we consider such an artist, a photographer with a great style. He's also a childhood friend of Matt's (Matt LeBlan, Founder and Creative Director of Sundry), both having grown up in Aix en Provence in the South of France.
Clement has beautifully shot 3 of our look books so far, and his work has always been stellar.
We thought we'd like to introduce him a little more to you, on the cusp of launching our Fall 15 Look Book, "The Art House", which he shot for us earlier in February.
We were fortunate enough to catch a moment with him in London, and he told us a little more about how he happens to hold a camera in his hands...
