Fall 2016: Inside the Collection

#INSIDESUNDRY, #TRAVELHanna Lieberman

As every Sundry girl knows, each of our collections is designed to be worn on the go, and Fall 2016 is no different. This season, Matthieu (the man behind the brand) wanted to create a capsule wardrobe based on the idea of a trip up the California coast. For inspiration, he turned to vintage photographs and elements of the landscape surrounding us – images of desert plants and wide sandy beaches went up on the wall, and the collection moved forward.

To start, our classic silhouettes were re-imagined in road trip-ready fabrications. That West Coast vintage vibe came to life through distressed details and sun-faded washes. In establishing the season’s palette, Matt wanted to convey the diverse geography we’re so lucky to have at our fingertips here in the Golden State. Oyster and French Blue recall long days hunting for seashells on the beaches in Malibu. Olive and Sienna reflect the desert landscape in Joshua Tree.

In the end, each piece in the Fall collection felt ready to cruise along PCH, windows down and music blasting. We can’t wait to pack these styles up for our next trip, and we hope you feel the same!
