Sidewalk Surfer, Huntington Beach, 1976 by Hugh Holland

For the first in our “Things We Love” series, we’re thrilled to feature Wax Posters. Our dear friend Camilla Trigano founded the online store to celebrate “heroes, legends, misfits, misanthropes, outsiders and outcasts.”

by Neil Kellerhouse

Their posters feature collectible artwork and photography and are printed right here in California on archival paper stock, using the most advanced archival printing techniques and fade-resistant inks.

The Kiss, 1978 by Joseph Szabo

Wax highlights an impressive roster of artists, from Leroy Grannis to Ralph Steadman, and prints works dated from the 1960s to present day. Their assortment tends to focus on specific themes: individuality, freedom of expression, and of course key moments in California surf culture. It’s difficult to visit the website without finding a new great piece for your collection.
